Our principal vehicle for action is the Keep Our Families Together Campaign. The objective of this campaign is to achieve a more just and humane immigration policy.  Through this campaign we wish to educate and sensitize our community, our elected officials and the general U.S. public about the reality faced by the thousands of immigrant families that remain separated due to obsolete and inhumane immigration policies. The campaign is an initiative of the National Alliance of Latin American and Caribbean Communities (NALACC) of which Centro Presente is a founding and active member.

In this area we currently have three workgroups:
(1) TPS workgroup— Raises awareness around the situation that Temporary Protected Status beneficiaries face.
(2) Know Your Rights workgroup - Aims to give a grassroots response to the increase in detention and deportation cases that affect our members and their families.
(3) En Pie de Lucha workgroup - Aims to organize and mobilize the Latino vote around the above described campaigns.
