More than 220 members and allies celebrated Centro Presente’s 30 Years of Working with the Latin American Immigrant Community and Fighting for Social and Economic Justice.

Centro Presente thanks its members and allies for coming together to celebrate Centro Presente’s 30 Years of Working with the Latin American Immigrant Community and Fighting for Social and Economic Justice.

This year Centro Presente celebrated 30 years of history, 30 years of achievements, 30 years of working with the Latin American Immigrant Community and Fighting for Social and Economic Justice.

Over the years Centro Presente has transformed itself from being an organization directed by people in solidarity with the immigrant community and fighting against US intervention in Central America during the 80’s, to an organization led by the Latino immigrant community, organizing and fighting against anti-immigrant sentiment here in the U.S. Centro Presente integrates community organizing, political advocacy, leadership development and basic services, to give to its members voice and build a more just society for all of us.

In celebration of this anniversary Centro Presente and Intercultural Productions co-produced a video describing the organization’s history and mission.
