SIM Vigil 2011

In July 2011 the activists of the Student Immigrant Movement (SIM) once again held a vigil on the steps of the Massachusetts State House to protest anti-immigrant ammendments which were added to the State’s budget.  As they had in 2010, the youth slept out on the steps of the State House to draw the public’s attention to these ammendments.  With support from many allies, including Centro Presente, they succeeded in getting the ammendments removed.
