PINTAMOS NUESTRO MUNDO - "WE PAINT OUR WORLD"
Pintamos Nuestro Mundo/We Paint Our World (PNM) is a unique initiative that engages immigrant Latino youth between the
ages of 11 and 18 in comprehensive arts-oriented curriculum, homework assistance, outdoor activities and leadership development.  In 2007 the program celebrated its 12th anniversary!

PNM is the ONLY out-of-school program in Somerville specifically targeting Latino immigrant youth.  The program is a safe
space where young people can learn, grow, be supported, and participate in their community while experiencing a sense of belonging, developing meaningful and transformational connections with adults and other young people and organizing projects that challenge their growth.

The program main goals include: (1) Youth use the arts as a vehicle to improve all areas of learning and development,
(2) Youth develop a better sense of themselves and their community, (3) Youth improve their overall school performance and,
(4) Youth take the lead on educating their community and organizing positive activities for other local youth.
